Growing up dancing, I was pretty active throughout my youth. In college, I was in a serious car accident that, quite literally, knocked me out of the game for a bit.
When I recovered enough to begin exercising, I remember the fear that surrounded it. I had no real knowledge of how to begin again. Figuring it out on my own felt overwhelming. Going to the gym, a place I had always felt comfortable in the past, had become intimidating.
I had similar feelings during my first pregnancy. What exercises were safe during pregnancy? What exercises would be safe postpartum? Could the Google results be trusted?
Our bodies are our temples. There shouldn’t be fear and intimidation surrounding the desire to keep them healthy. I don’t want to feel that way about fitness and I don’t want anyone else to feel that way either. So, at 8 months pregnant with my first daughter, I got my American Council on Exercise (ACE) certification with a specialization in nutrition.
I offer in-person training (either one-on-one or in a small group of no more than 4 people) in Lake Oswego, Oregon and the surrounding areas; online training for those outside of the area; or a combo of the two. Nutrition support can be added to any package for a more well-rounded program. Check out my package details on the Training page and let’s begin your journey!
